Dare (they/them) Sex and Relationship Coach and Educator and Founder of Learn, Grow, Repeat

Who: This space is 18+ and open to all 2SLGBTQIA+ identifying folks and neurodivergent community members to provide a safe space for neuroqueer discussion, reflection and collective care. You do not need to be in Ontario or even Canada to join as long as it works for your time zone.

What: We'll bring a new discussion topic each month from September-June, relating to the intersections of neurodivergence, queerness and disability for us to explore.

How: Sign up via Blue Sky's JaneApp website here. It is not necessary to get a ticket through Eventbrite as we'll still set you up on JaneApp.

Once you register, JaneApp will send you a confirmation email with a one-time intake form for you to complete before your first group. This allows us to collect basic info to ensure community safety.

You'll then receive the standing Zoom link for our monthly meetings. You only need to register once, but can add in your name for future events if you'd like the extra notifications.

Where: Zoom. You will also have the option of joining our Discord server once you complete the intake form, if you'd like to further connect with group members.

When: Every Third Thursday of the month from 8 - 10 PM EST/EDT September through June 2025 (we'll send you reminders!) This year we're adding an optional 15 minute hang out time before we start each session, you can join as early as 7:45pm EST.

NOTE FOR APRIL 2025 - We will be meeting on April 24th instead of the 17th!

Email kim@blueskylearning.ca for any questions or concerns or hello@blueskylearning for any general inquiries.

W e are aiming to create a space based on the principles of mutual aid and collective care. We trust that members are invested in being in community and accountable to each other for their actions. No intentional harm will be tolerated in this group or Discord server.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to sign up every month in order to attend?

Nope! You absolutely can if you'd like it in your calendar, however you do not need to sign up for each individual session in order to be welcome. Once you sign up, we'll add you to our email list and invite you to the Discord server. We'll send reminders on both for upcoming groups.

What is JaneApp?

JaneApp is the web platform Blue Sky utilizes for their services. To ensure group safety, all group members will complete an intake form on the JaneApp site so that only real humans sign up to join. We won't share your personal info and will use your preferred name/pronouns.

When will I receive reminders of upcoming groups?

We're planning to send out email & Discord reminders one week, one day and one hour before the group. We'll also send a Discord message at the time the group is starting. We are also neurodivergent and want to make this is accessible as possible for everyone.

Can I join the Discord and not attend the group?

Unfortunately no. Though the Discord is optional, to ensure the group's safety, we want to keep the Discord members consistent with group attendees. You don't have to regularly attend, but we want to support ongoing connection for group members.

How often will Em & Dare be in the Discord?

Dare and Kim/Em will aim for one or both of us to pop in regularly as our spoons allow. The space is 18+ and will not be closely monitored. In the event that a safety concern comes up, please DM, tag or email one of us.

What if I'm running late to the group?

We will keep the meeting room open for the first 10 minutes of every session (to 8:10pm est). After that time, we'll close it for the day to ensure no one is interrupted while they're speaking. If you miss it, don't sweat it! You'll always be welcome next time. You can still pop in the Discord too.

Do I have to have my camera on?

We won't force you to turn on your camera. We do strongly encourage it as the intent of the group is community connection, it will help everyone to be able to read facial expressions in real time. If you need to turn it off or prefer not to speak, you can let us know and use the chat feature as well

Can I suggest a discussion topic for a future session?

Totally! On the Discord, we have a suggestion box channel where you can let us know of topics you might like to see discussed as well as any other ideas or feedback you may have. We can't guarantee when your topic may come up, but we'll do our best!

How can I work with Dare or Em?

Dare does coaching and classes and can be found at learngrowrepeat.ca to work with them. Consultations with Kim/Em can be booked directly by emailing them at kim@blueskylearning.ca. Consults with any other coaches with Blue Sky can be booked at blueskylearning.ca
